body | stillness | awareness
Yoga was developed centuries ago in India as a comprehensive system for wellbeing on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. A yoga practice begins with an intention, as does coaching.
Yoga can help you find an awareness to your authentic self
More meaningful and personal than just a new workout
New experience in body, connection to self
Linking of movement and breath
Opening to stillness, opening to awareness
I have always led a physical, body centered life full of movement, and my yoga practice grew out of a curiosity to find a new challenge.
From my first class at a local studio I knew I had been introduced to a something more meaningful and personal than just a new workout. What I discovered was a new experience in my body, the connection to the self while linking movement and breath. A physical practice soon became an opening to stillness, an opening to awareness.
As I became more and more committed to this practice, I pursued yoga education and teacher trainings. Having studied several traditions, I have mostly been influenced by vinyasa, ashtanga, and Forrest yoga. Annual trips to India to practice under the guidance of well respected teachers has deepened my belief in this tradition, that a yoga practice can influence awareness and well-being.

“Denise was the yoga teacher at my office for more than 3 years. We all loved her and her way of teaching us and helping grow our yoga experiences. I don’t think one class was ever the same; not possible to get tired of the same routine... Denise fulfilled a big gap in my life!”
